Tourist Arrivals Over 3.2 million in 2022

Despite the loss of the Russian and Ukrainian markets, Cyprus welcomed 3,201,080 tourist arrivals between January to December 2022.

During 2020 and 2021, arrivals dropped significantly with 2020 recording just 631,609 arrivals in comparison to 2019, pre Pandemic, where the arrivals totalled 3,976,777.

Arrivals from the United Kingdom made up the majority of the arrivals at 24.3%,  tourists from Israel followed with 11.6% of arrivals, with an increase of visitors from the EU – notably Greece, Poland and Germany.

According to data from the Statistical Service of Cyprus, 61.5% visited Cyprus for holidays, 29 % to visit family / friends and 9% travelled to the island for business.
