Cyprus has been ranked as the top choice for buying a holiday home out of 50 destinations in a global holiday home index by the Australian comparison site Compare the Market.
Cyprus took the top spot with an overall score of 8.25/10. The report mentions that “the country is renowned for its rich ancient history, its mythological ties to the ancient Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, its beautiful beaches, and its superb wines and produce.”
The Mediterranean island is renowned for it’s stunning Blue Flag beaches, it’s beautiful climate with an average of 300 days a year of sunshine, and it’s history, culture and traditional villages scattered around the island.
Plus, importantly, Cyprus scored a low house price index score of 99.6, making it an attractive market for investors and holiday home owners alike.
