Larnaca’s new Municipal Market will be ready for delivery by 23rd January 2023. Despite delays due to the termination of the original contract, the Municipal Market will be ready to open it’s doors to the public.
The opening of the project has been highly anticipated by the town’s shopkeepers and businesses. It is estimated that the opening of the Municipal Market will greatly increase the visitors to the area.
The ground floor level will consist of 20 shops, an information area and an outdoor, landscaped area where an outdoor market will operate once a week.
The mezzanine will include cafes and an exhibition area. Additionally, the second floor will have a terrace area with bars and a green space.
Along with the recent redevelopment of the Zouchouri Square nearby, this is a significant upgrade to the commercial centre of Larnaca.
